Discipleship

Effectively discipling another person is one of the the most critical, but least understood functions of our Christian experience. Using the Word of God as our guide we are going to look at the Biblical patterns that are laid out for us.

This session discusses discipleship, offers a suggested definition and looks at the Biblical support for it. It provides the framework of the overall seminar.
The Lord Jesus Christ called His disciples to follow Him. He poured into them through practical demonstration and personal teaching.
The Apostle Paul also called others to join him on his missionary journeys. The walked together, endured hardship together and were trained for service.
The Word of God provides the totality of our teaching on discipleship. We need to know it, love it and live it out in our daily walk.
It has been said that discipleship without relationship is just passing along information. To have an impact in lives it must be relational.
Knowing the Word of God without applying it to our lives results in dry, sterile faith. Ministry is the fruit of our service for the Lord.
Our final session brings all the elements together to help us begin to put into practice the Biblical truths we have learned.

Let’s Study God’s Word together.
